What I love about You...
Words will never do justice to explain how I feel.
You carefully wrote my life before I was even born,
You gave me the perfect family to help ride the storms..
You gave me the chance to choose,
to do my best, but still stood with me when I loose.
What I love about You, is everything,
For have an unbending, unswerving true word,
for leaving me an undeserving man, a guide to walk toward.
What I love about You is more than any word can ever describe,
it is every feeling, every action I take, because when in You I abide.
Through every failure, You find to bring a victory in me,
even through the tears, You broke the chains that set me free..
So I humbly let it flow from my heart all I love about You,
gratefully standing in your promises, unlike mine they have never been broke,
though I never deserved Your love, Your help, Your forgiveness and care,
kindly, gently, merciful, You made sure I knew You were always there...
Oh Father; how I hope You know how much I need and love You,
desperately I kneel thankful for in these trial filled life You lovingly help me get through.
What I love about You is how Your love is unending, unmeasurable, and to all,
no matter how great we do, or how often we poorly choose our choices and fall.
What I love about You is how You're a God of no partiality meeting us wherever we are,
Strong out in the vices of life, unbelievers, hurt beyond measures, You are never far...
You lift the meek, the humble, You bless the simple and the faithful heart that life made poor,
You sanctify their trust, You hear their cry, in perfect time opening the right door...
What I love about You is Your immense sacrifice giving Your only Son to die for our sin,
perfectly He walked, showing love, mercy, grace, even when our heart He couldn't win.
What I love about You is that even though Your pain, love was all you gave,
that You made me in Your image, that in my weakness, You make me brave.
For the two greatest treasure a man can ever ask for, the gift of being a father like You,
in Your image, You made us the very apple of Your eyes, and Your most beloved creation too!
So I strongly ask that You give me the strength and wisdom to finish my greatest task,
the opportunity to be the Father You were to me, let my heart be unmask,
let it reflect the Love I have for you, let it shine the love I have for them,
help me be wise in bringing them to be one day a server, a respectful and kind man.
What I love about You will never end in words I will ever say,
but in my heart my Father I hope its clear how I feel, and even clearer when I gratefully pray!
Father; I love you with all my heart, You are all I need, right or wrong, healed or broken,
unconditionally, but humanly imperfect I will always Love You, a love that can never be stolen,
can never be bought, but like Yours it will always be ready and willing to be freely given!
